WHO WE ARE
The Detroit Women’s Leadership Network (DWLN) is a diverse intersection of women who reside, work or serve in the Detroit area, committed to producing meaningful change in the region. We celebrate the feminine aspects of leadership as an instrument for transformation and support uncommon collaborations that make positive contributions to our community.
HOW WE STARTED
Established in 2014, DWLN transitioned from concept to creation through a masterful collaboration between co-founders Danielle North and Nicole de Beaufort. The initial launch included approximately 30 women and a series of organic events that explored a variety of topics and convening formats. Since then, DWLN has significantly grown and currently engages more than 10,000 virtual followers. With such exponential growth, we have reached a critical moment in our story where we must pause and prepare for the future that we want to see.
OUR VISION
We envision a more equitable and inclusive Detroit for diverse female influencers.
OUR MISSION
To advance the professional trajectory of women by inspiring inclusive opportunities for connection, collaboration and progress.
OUR CREED
DWLN esteems women of all ages, races and career stages as valuable contributors; grounded by a human-centered philosophy, we embrace diverse perspectives and recognize the innate leadership qualities that all women possess and express in their sphere of influence.
